The new LUMIS U-Light with switchable LED panels
With the LUMIS series, Rollei has so far introduced small to medium-sized continuous LED lights - now there is an addition. The new LUMIS U-Light expands the series with a bright, rectangular video light, which is particularly suitable for reports with smartphones, video conferences and vlogging. The compact, flexible U-Light is therefore applicable for use in the studio, on location or in the home office.
Norderstedt, 25.08.2021. Photo accessories manufacturer Rollei introduced its new continuous LED light series at the beginning of the year. With the LUMIS series, Rollei offers handy LED solutions that stand for flexible use in the studio or on location. The new LUMIS U-Light, as another ultra-flexible member of the series, also turns any location into a small studio at any time of day.
The new rectangular video light convinces with a power of 20 watts, which can be continuously adjusted. The 200 bright LEDs, consisting of 100 cool white and 100 warm white LEDs, ensure the right illumination. The LED light is rounded off by a variable color temperature between 2,500 and 8,500 Kelvin. The color temperature and brightness of the new U-Light are controlled via user-friendly rotary wheels on the side of the light. If not all the light from the LED panels is needed, half of the LEDs can be switched off by briefly pressing the power button.
Whether portrait or landscape format - due to its endurance and flexible and versatile setting options, the continuous LED light is also suitable for entertaining stories on social networks. 16:9 recordings, TikTok and Instagram videos or video conferences are no longer a problem with the U-Light. With one battery charge from the built-in lithium-ion battery, the continuous LED light lasts over 2.5 hours at full power. For extra power on the go, the LUMIS U-Light has a power bank function, which allows other devices such as a smartphone to be connected and charged during use. It can also be used with a webcam thanks to the variety of connections.
