Rollei presents new T/1.5 aperture cine lenses from Viltrox

With the new Viltrox-S lenses with Sony E-mount in focal lengths of 23, 33 and 56 millimeters, photo accessory manufacturer Rollei presents three cine lenses. Due to their excellent performance, they are ideal for high-quality video recordings. The T/1.5 aperture also enables their use in low-light conditions on compact Sony cameras.

Norderstedt, 02.09.2021. In cooperation with Viltrox, Rollei presents three new Viltrox lenses for Sony APS-C cameras with E-mount. The cine lenses will be available in focal lengths of 23, 33 and 56 mm. With excellent features such as high quality and zero dissertation, they help professional film, video and vlog productions achieve high-quality video work. Cine lenses are popular lenses because, thanks to their design, they can be used universally on compatible Sony APS-C cameras with E-mount.

The T/1.5 aperture is particularly helpful for work in low light conditions. The low breathing effect (the change in focal length due to focusing) of the lenses ensures a better, smoother result, which is particularly important for video recordings.

For precise adjustment of the continuously variable aperture, the Viltrox lenses also feature the classic gears on the focus and aperture rings of the lens. These are standardized 0.8 modules for compatible support systems and motors. Combined with follow focus devices, it is possible to adjust the focus quickly and cleanly. An absolute must for film and video recordings.

With 11 lenses in 10 groups, a maximum weight of 540 g and a 72 mm filter thread, the cine lenses impress with their high-quality workmanship. The metal housing is very solid and robust for filming, protecting the inside of the lens from minor impacts.
