Rollei introduces a new compact quick-release system that is equally interesting for photography and videography, as it allows for quick and effortless switching from camera tripod to slider or crane. No further accessories are needed from now on.

Norderstedt, 29.09.2021. The manufacturer of photo and video accessories Rollei presents a new quick-release system that allows video and photographers to detach the camera or the entire tripod head including the camera from one piece of equipment and attach it to another in no time. Small and effective: A quick change of the tripod or video head between tripod, slider or crane is thus easily possible with just one turn and no further equipment.

The compact system convinces with a maximum load capacity of eight kilograms and a low dead weight of only 93 grams. It is made of high-quality aluminum and can be easily stowed in any bag thanks to its size of 64.4 x 18.7 millimeters.

This is how quick changes succeed: To release, the base plate must be rotated until the quick release plate fixed to the tripod head or camera clicks free and can finally be removed. Now the camera can be transported from one accessory to the next as often and as quickly as desired and simply re-fixed to the base plate on the tripod, slider or crane.

Unscrewing and then laboriously reattaching it to other equipment is no longer necessary. Thanks to the included 3/8-inch adapter, the quick-release system is compatible with most connections. The scope of delivery includes a quick release plate with a 2.5- and a 4-millimeter Allen key including a conversion screw. For seamless use between different equipment, at least two quick-release systems are required. Rollei offers various sets of the system consisting of two or three quick release plates.
