Rollei Supports “Deutschland summt!” Initiative on Nature Photography Day

On the occasion of Nature Photography Day, photo accessories manufacturer Rollei demonstrates how important sustainability and environmental protection are for the brand. With a special campaign honoring this day, Rollei will donate 25 percent of the online shop sales* generated during the campaign period from June 15 to 20, 2022, to the bee protection initiative "Deutschland summt!".

Norderstedt, June 15, 2022. Today is Nature Photography Day. The main goal is to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of nature, but also to emphasize how important and necessary the preservation of natural habitats is.

This is precisely where Rollei's efforts for Nature Photography Day 2022 come in. The transition to sustainable and resource-saving product packaging is a small step that Rollei has already implemented, as well as offsetting CO₂ emissions by planting trees. Rollei also already has initial products made from sustainable materials, such as the Fotoliner Ocean backpack series.

For Nature Photography Day, Rollei goes a step further and presents a very special campaign. 25 percent* of the revenue generated between June 15 and 20, 2022, will be donated to the "Deutschland summt!" initiative. This funding, resulting from all online shop orders during the campaign period, will support the protection and restoration of wild bees. This benefits not only wild bees but also all photo and videographers who prefer to take their shots in nature, as a large number of plants are pollinated by wild bees. The extinction of wild bees would fundamentally change the uniqueness of nature as a whole, as well as natural habitats for humans and animals alike.

Together with its customers, Rollei wants to support "Deutschland summt!" and wild bees, contributing sustainably to the preservation of wild bee populations and their habitats.
