Lightning-fast scanning process and 16-megapixel resolution
With the new slide and film scanner DF-S 1600 SE, manufacturer Rollei presents a multi-scanner that allows you to easily edit and digitize color or black-and-white negatives as well as slides directly. The high, effective resolution of 16 megapixels can be upscaled to up to 25 megapixels, enabling the creation of unadulterated images.
Norderstedt, 14.06.2022. The slide and film scanner DF-S 1600 SE from Rollei enables the conversion of slides and negatives into digital files with a lightning-fast scanning process. These can be edited directly during the scanning process without a computer, or transferred directly to the computer via a USB-C cable for more extensive post-processing.
The slide and film scanner can be controlled via the clear user interface on the front using its large control buttons. The digitized material can be previewed and edited directly on the 3.5-inch TFT LC color display. The extensive scope of delivery, including various holders, allows a wide range of image material to be scanned. These include, for example, a negative holder, a 110-millimeter holder, and an 8-millimeter or Super8 holder. With a scan quality of 3,300 dpi (4,300 dpi interpolated) for a 135-millimeter film, the multi-scanner and the built-in multi-element precision lens ensure a resolution of 16 megapixels, which can also be upscaled to up to 25 megapixels if required. This allows slides and negatives to be reproduced in unadulterated quality.
The DF-S 1600 SE is capable of digitizing slides and negatives in JPEG format and temporarily storing them on SD cards with up to 64 gigabytes via an integrated 2-in-1 memory card slot, or transferring them directly to a computer via cable. Via the HDMI port on the back of the device and the included HDMI cable, the content can also be viewed and edited directly on a television or monitor.
