Extendable LUMIS LED light bars in compact formats

LUMIS I-Light RGB and Mini I-Light RGB allow for creative effects on location and in the studio

Photo accessory manufacturer Rollei is introducing two new variants of compact, rod-shaped continuous lights: the LUMIS I-Light RGB and the LUMIS Mini I-Light RGB. Content creators, videographers, and photographers benefit from versatile lighting effects via an RGB mode, a CCT mode (variable color temperature), and an effects mode. For maximum flexibility, the LUMIS I-Light RGB can be expanded with additional lights using a plug-in mechanism, while the Mini I-Light RGB expands using integrated magnets.

Norderstedt, 01.04.2022. With the LUMIS I-Light RGB and LUMIS Mini I-Light RGB, Rollei is offering RGB lights for the first time within the LUMIS series, which can be extended to form a larger light stick. The flexible use of the lights allows for creative color and light effects in photos or videos.

LUMIS I-Light RGB

Despite its low weight of just 236 grams and a size of 23.5 centimeters, the larger LUMIS I-Light RGB offers a handy light stick for creative shoots. Thanks to the 110 built-in LEDs (44 cool white, 44 warm white, and 22 RGB LEDs), the compact light stick offers three different modes: color temperature mode, RGB mode, and effects mode. In color temperature mode, the color temperature can be adjusted between 2,500 and 9,000 Kelvin in 10 or 100 Kelvin increments. The RGB mode allows for 360 color shades and steplessly adjustable saturation. The effects mode offers over 20 different effects, such as candlelight, a flickering broken light bulb, or fireworks, which are particularly suitable for video recordings. This is enhanced by a CRI and TLCI of over 95 each, which not only guarantees high color accuracy but also ensures natural colors in video recordings. The built-in 2,600 mAh lithium-ion battery in the LUMIS I-Light RGB provides the necessary power, with a usage time of up to 1.5 hours (at 100% power and a color temperature of 4,500 Kelvin).

The LUMIS I-Light RGB can be extended to up to 70.5 centimeters via an integrated innovative plug-in mechanism. A total of up to three LUMIS I-Light RGB can be connected in this way. The housing of the LUMIS I-Light RGB contains integrated magnets, which ensure that the light can be easily placed on metallic surfaces.

LUMIS Mini I-Light RGB

The smaller, 10-centimeter LUMIS Mini I-Light RGB offers the same flexibility and adjustment options as the larger LUMIS I-Light RGB. In the compact light stick, the 88 LEDs provide the necessary illumination. These include 33 cool and warm white LEDs each, as well as 22 RGB LEDs. The 2,000 mAh battery allows for up to approximately 1.5 hours of lighting fun at a power setting of 100 percent and a color temperature of 4,500 Kelvin – all with an extremely low weight of just 116 grams.

Should the 10 centimeters length of the compact LED continuous light not be sufficient, two further LUMIS Mini I-Light RGB can be easily connected via the magnets built into the ends. Like the larger model, the LUMIS Mini I-Light RGB also features magnets on the back, allowing the LED continuous light to be attached to metallic surfaces. Of course, the more compact variant also offers a CRI and TLCI of over 95.

Both lights also feature a 1/4-inch connector. The LUMIS continuous lights come with a USB-C cable, while the LUMIS I-Light additionally includes a practical carrying bag.
