Wide-angle lens with Fuji X-Mount and autofocus
Wide-angle lenses have always allowed for impressive shots from astonishing angles. In cooperation with Viltrox, Rollei is introducing the "Lens AF 13 mm F/1.4" for Fujifilm X-Mount. The new lens is characterized not only by a short minimum focusing distance of just 22 centimeters and a silent STM focus motor for video recordings, but also by an excellent optical design of the 14 lens elements arranged in 11 groups.
Norderstedt, 28.03.2022. In cooperation with the lens manufacturer Viltrox, Rollei is introducing a new camera lens with Fuji X-Mount. The wide-angle lens is a 13-millimeter focal length, which is characterized by natural imaging and a particularly wide angle of view.
Despite its impressive initial aperture of F/1.4 for wide-angle lenses, the lens with Fuji X-Mount is equipped with a reliable and fast autofocus. The STM focus motor used for this not only delivers lightning-fast results in photography, but its silent operation also makes it ideal for filming. In addition, the lens for Fuji cameras with X-Mount is optimized for use with eye-detection autofocus or, alternatively, for manual focus.
The lens also features an aperture ring, which ensures the familiar usability of the system and thus maintains the design language of the cameras. Professional landscape photographers and hobby photographers alike will appreciate the fast wide-angle lens with autofocus, but the new lens also excels in street photography, reportage, or long exposures of the night sky.
As is already known from other Viltrox products, the 480-gram lightweight lens has a USB interface that enables continuous performance improvement through firmware updates. This also guarantees compatibility with most cameras from Fujifilm's X-series in the future.
