Wedding and couples photography is all about creatively capturing special moments and the unique relationship between two people. Marina Radon is a photographer who has been working in this field for over a decade and has made a name for herself with her calm and personal visual language. To bring her vision of rustic yet clean images to life during a specially and meticulously planned shoot in a castle in South Tyrol, she uses our LUMIS light sticks.

The variety of scenes, poses and setups proves ideal for putting the LUMIS series through its paces.
Who is Marina and what defines her work as a photographer?
Perhaps Marina Radon, known to many under her label Marina Photography, is already known to some readers, as the shoot described in more detail below is the second collaboration with her. Marina's photography is characterized by an unagitated quality that creates a particularly natural impression in couples and wedding photos.

The professional and experienced photographer, who is booked for events in Germany and abroad, has been using Rollei products for a long time. In her opinion, these are characterized by their robustness, low weight, ease of use and durability. Since Marina prefers to work with available light or wants to maintain the impression of natural light when using artificial light, the LUMIS I-Light RGB and the other lights in the LUMIS series prove ideal for her unmistakable photographic style.

These setups used the LUMIS light sticks
Since the shoot at the historic Bellermont Castle in South Tyrol was a precisely coordinated undertaking that required directing a team of several people, Marina deliberately used a LUMIS Glow RGB and other variants from the popular series. Due to the vastness of the area, there wasn't much time per setup, so all equipment, including the artificial light used, had to be reliable.
The first set of the shoot was by the castle pool. Here, two light sticks were combined, and other units were hidden to the left and right behind the wooden partitions to guarantee natural-looking, accentuated lighting.

The second set, the tablesetting, was set up in the elegant knight's hall. The photographer had simply placed it on the tabletop in a three-way combination next to each other. Thanks to the precise control of the lights, a timeless porcelain effect was achieved with the decorative flowers, which were illuminated from below.
In the third setting, Marina also used a LUMIS I-Light. She held this in her hand and could thus individually and quickly direct the light onto the motif to create so-called highlights.

The wedding photographer's conclusion on the LUMIS I-Lights and the LUMIS Glow RGB
Marina is completely satisfied with the results and proud that the pictures speak for themselves. She was particularly impressed by the easy handling, compact size, and low weight of both lights.
For example, a LUMIS I-Light RGB light stick easily fits into a camera bag and can be used at any time thanks to the built-in battery. Marina is also enthusiastic about the fact that several LUMIS I-Lights can be connected to each other in a few simple steps if a little more light is needed for illumination. This way, a large light stick can be created from a mini light stick in a matter of seconds.
In the future, Marina wants to use the LUMIS I-Light RGB not only for her photo settings, but also increasingly for creating short videos due to its practical light effects.
