Our new “Fotoliner Ocean” backpacks are not only made from recycled plastic bottles, but they also offer many other great features that are useful for photographers on excursions. One of the larger models is the Fotoliner Ocean in size L, which we had tested in advance. The test was carried out by Tobias Hoiten, who travels all over Europe for his photography and therefore naturally relies on a very good backpack.

He reports: "What I particularly like is the ample space! This is my first backpack where I can actually fit all my photo equipment and don't have to spend a long time deciding what to leave at home from my gear."

According to him, his equipment includes two cameras with wide-angle and telephoto lenses, a drone, a portrait lens, and a faster lens. "Even my laptop fits into the backpack – in addition to cleaning cloths, batteries, and memory cards. That's really great because otherwise, for my drone, for example, I would always have to carry a separate bag," which, according to Hoiten, would be tiring in the long run.

Features that he finds particularly useful are the hip belt and rain cover, the photographer is convinced. "The hip belt is an enormous relief for the back. Especially now, when I'm carrying even more than before, I feel the weight when I usually have the equipment on my back all day." The hip belt provides a lot of relief and distributes the weight well. The rain cover is also extremely useful, Hoiten grins. "I've had a few moments where it suddenly started to rain, and you're just glad to have the protection." When the equipment is well protected, you're happy to take it out even in the rain.

Regarding the material, the photographer says: "It feels very high-quality and durable. I don't feel like a seam will immediately burst if I overtax the backpack a bit. It gives me the secure feeling that everything is always perfectly stowed away." The reinforced bottom of the backpack is also very practical when you have to change cameras on muddy ground.

"With this backpack, I'm looking forward to traveling again when possible. Because you have everything with you and don't have to decide what to leave at home."
