Two new ultra-wide-angle lenses with high speed

13-Millimeter APS-C Lenses for Sony E-Mount or Nikon Z-Mount

Together with its partner brand Viltrox, Rollei will soon be presenting two new APS-C 13-millimeter prime lenses for Sony E-mount or Nikon Z-mount. The optically excellent lenses for APS-C cameras not only offer an astonishingly wide angle of view but also an almost distortion-free image that makes recordings look particularly natural. Both lenses are perfect for landscape, architecture, street, food, and astrophotography. The "Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 DX with Nikon Z-Mount" and the "Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 E with Sony E-Mount" can be pre-ordered now from the photo accessories manufacturer.

Norderstedt, 05.07.2022. In cooperation with the lens manufacturer Viltrox, Rollei will soon introduce a 13-millimeter focal length for Nikon Z-Mount or Sony E-Mount. The lenses AF 13 mm f/1.4 DX with Nikon Z-Mount and AF 13 mm f/1.4 E with Sony E-Mount can be ordered now from Rollei.

The lenses, suitable for APS-C sensors, are characterized by their fast aperture of f/1.4 and a reliable and fast autofocus. The STM focus motor used for this not only delivers lightning-fast results in photography but also, with its silent operation, is ideally suited for film recordings. The new wide-angle lenses thus prove to be true all-rounders for landscape, architecture, and reportage shots.

For simplified and fast aperture adjustment, the wide-angle lenses feature a manual aperture ring. Focusing is possible both manually and via the latest eye autofocus of modern mirrorless cameras.

The weight of the new wide-angle lenses is only a low 420 grams with Sony E-Mount and 455 grams with Nikon Z-Mount, although they are made of durable metal and contain 14 lenses in 11 groups. Another highlight of the lenses for Sony E-Mount and Nikon Z-Mount is the short minimum focusing distance of just 22 centimeters. This makes it possible to get into the macro range despite the wide angle of view.
An integrated USB-C interface allows the user to regularly upload new updates to the respective lens. EXIF data is saved directly thanks to communication with the manufacturer's APS-C camera.
