New lightweight camera slider with smartphone control
Timelapse shots or product videography only get the finishing touch with the use of high-quality camera sliders. When travelling, this can become a logistical challenge. With the ultra-compact Slider+, Rollei and MIOPS now offer a lightweight solution that can be completely controlled via smartphone.
Norderstedt, 09.08.2021. Ambitious timelapse videography or dynamic product photography in precision shots require more than just a steady hand. In cooperation with MIOPS, Rollei presents a new 1.4 kilogram lightweight slider that is fully compatible with DSLR and DSLM cameras. Quick to set up and configure, the camera slider can be individually adjusted and used.
The performance data is impressive: The maximum movement speed is 100 centimetres per minute; the maximum step resolution is an excellent 1.141 micrometres. With the 2,900 milliampere-hour lithium-ion battery, the Slider+ can achieve a runtime of between five and six hours in normal operation.
Safely stowed in the included carrying bag, the MIOPS Slider+ is only 40 centimetres long during transport and takes up hardly any additional space when travelling. This makes it perfect as a constant companion for photographers and artists looking for a compact and powerful camera slider system. The low weight of 1.4 kilograms is significantly less than what many comparable devices weigh. During operation, an effective length of 30 centimetres is available to the videographer for all types of high-quality motion shots.
Individual functionality thanks to smartphone integration: The MIOPS Slider+ can be conveniently controlled via smartphone using the free MIOPS app via Bluetooth connection. Both triggering shots and controlling movements are possible in this way – simultaneously if required.
The Slider+ can be used for all types of videography where an automatic camera slider is advantageous. This includes timelapse shots as well as extreme macro shots. The integrated Focus Stacking gradually adjusts the camera's position to create perfect and impressive series shots with different focus points.
