Creative photo shoot locations are hard to find at the moment, so you have to be a bit creative and find alternative solutions. For example, by using the space you already have – your own home. We recently suggested two more ideas for new types of shoots, from our photographer Seb Nagel from Kaiserslautern. Fancy another idea? Here it is.

| Camera | Focal length | Aperture | Shutter | ISO |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sony A7 | 50 mm | 2.8 | 1/160 | 200 |
For this shoot, model and Playmate Julia Römmelt and professional photographer Seb Nagel from Kaiserslautern wanted to implement a shooting idea with water that they had been thinking about for a long time.
“Since it was too cold for a lake and the indoor pools are currently closed, we decided to start another shoot in the bathroom of my apartment,” explains Seb Nagel. “Julia posed in the bathtub, while I put her in the right light with my equipment.”

Setup and Equipment
- 2x Rollei Lumen Stick
- 1x Rollei Lumen RGB Ring
For this image, Seb Nagel used the split tone technique. This means that one or more color tones are deliberately added to the image to make it more interesting to the eye. For example, in the highlights or shadows of an image.
In this case, Nagel used our Lumen Sticks for the split tones. He set one to glow orange – and one to blue. To then brighten the room overall, he used our Lumen RGB Ring. “I used it as a “passive” light source, so to speak,” he explains.
Please note: The Lumen Stick RGB shown in the photos is the previous version without an integrated and non-removable handle. The technical specifications of the new model with integrated handle are identical. You can use the new Lumen Stick RGB in the same way for a shoot as described and shown here.
