Norderstedt, March 18, 2026. Together with Viltrox, Rollei introduces the Viltrox Flash Vintage Z2, a shoe-mount flash that combines retro aesthetics with solid technology. The compact housing in a vintage look is aimed at photographers looking for a stylish flash that works without complications and integrates seamlessly into their camera system.

With a flash output of 10 watt-seconds and a guide number of 6, the Z2 provides enough power for clean illumination in low ambient light. A practical advantage is the integrated
lithium-ion battery with a long runtime and short charging time: a crucial advantage for longer shoots.

The Z2 supports both TTL mode for automatic exposure control and manual mode, which allows precise power control. The recycling time of approximately 2 seconds ensures minimal waiting time between shots. If the flash is not used for a longer period, there's no need to worry about the battery: After 15 minutes of inactivity, the Z2 automatically switches to sleep mode.

In terms of operation, the Z2 relies on plug-and-play: Mount it, turn it on, shoot – without complicated setup. This makes it particularly suitable for anyone who works quickly and spontaneously. The compact, lightweight housing can be easily carried without unnecessarily weighing down the equipment.
