Rollei presents the Steady Butler Mobile 3 SE with innovations for even more convenience
With the new Steady Butler Mobile 3 SE, we are presenting the further developed successor to the popular smartphone gimbal. It has been enhanced with practical details, such as the ability to remove the smartphone from the gimbal, for example, during a call, without having to switch it off beforehand, and a fast-charging function, so that it is ready for use for up to half an hour after just five minutes.
Weighing only 355 grams and measuring 15.2 centimeters when folded, the new smartphone gimbal also fits into almost any bag. This allows users to capture smooth, handheld videos with their smartphone at any time, even when on the go.
Norderstedt, 16.09.2022. Its predecessors were already a great success. With the new Steady Butler Mobile 3 SE, we are presenting the revised successor to the Steady Butler Mobile 3. The new product is just as compact as its predecessor and measures only 15.2 centimeters when folded. With even more recording modes, the gimbal stabilizes all handheld video recordings on three axes.
The new smartphone gimbal can now be easily switched on and off even without a mounted smartphone. This also means that end devices can be easily removed from the gimbal in between, for example, during a call. For additional flexibility, the Steady Butler Mobile 3 SE offers a fast-charging function and, with a compatible fast charger, is ready for use for up to half an hour within a short charging time of five minutes – so no creative opportunity is missed. Its low weight of only 355 grams makes it ideal for on-location use.
The lightweight device allows users to switch between portrait format for social media channels or classic landscape format with the push of a button. In addition to the existing lock functions, the device has been expanded with an FPV mode and a built-in zoom control. To film new perspectives, it is possible to hold the smartphone gimbal overhead or sideways. Even more recording modes can be accessed via the free "Smart Gimbal 2" smartphone app. These include, for example, Inception mode, Dolly mode, or Hyperlapse mode. How much the gimbal should move can be varied with the following four modes: Pan Follow mode, Follow mode, Lock mode, or the new FPV mode.
The integrated battery with a capacity of 2,000 milliampere-hours provides the necessary power for a maximum operating time of up to 5 hours. In addition, the smartphone gimbal has a 1/4-inch thread for mounting on a tripod, such as the included mini-tripod. The scope of delivery includes the Steady Butler Mobile 3 SE, a mini-tripod, a USB-C cable, a wrist strap, and an instruction manual.
