Rollei expands the LUX series: New products for even more choice in lighting

More creative control thanks to RGB light and Bowens adapter

Rollei expands its popular LUX series with the LUX 100 RGB, the LUX 60 Bi-Color, and the LUX Bowens adapter. This gives photographers and videographers even more flexibility and creativity. The LUX 100 RGB enables stepless color selection from 360 RGB colors and color temperature adjustment from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin, while the LUX 60 Bi-Color offers stepless color temperature regulation between 2,700 and 6,500 Kelvin. Both lights are characterized by high color fidelity, quiet cooling, and easy app control. The LUX Bowens adapter expands compatibility with Bowens light shapers and offers versatile mounting options.

Norderstedt, September 25, 2024. Rollei's LUX series is growing: With the LUX 100 RGB, the LUX 60 Bi-Color, and the innovative LUX Bowens adapter, Rollei expands the selection for creative minds. The new LUX 100 RGB complements the existing 60-model with higher performance, and the LUX 60 Bi-Color is the perfect entry-level choice alongside the existing 100 Bi-Color. Thus, the expanded LUX series offers an even greater variety of lighting options and sets new standards in professional lighting.

With the LUX 100 RGB (199 Euros; RRP 299 Euros), Rollei launches a powerful LED light specially developed for creative lighting setups. This light offers incredible flexibility by allowing users to choose from 360 RGB colors and steplessly adjust the color temperature from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin. Thanks to its compact design and low weight of only 345 grams, it is also extremely mobile and easy to transport. The new LUX 60 Bi-Color (99 Euros; RRP 199 Euros), also weighing 345 grams, complements the series with an LED light that impresses with its dual color scheme. This light allows stepless adjustment of the color temperature from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin, thus providing optimal lighting conditions for any shooting situation. With the LUX 60 Bi-Color, both photographers and videographers can regulate the light intensity precisely according to their needs and thus create atmospheric and mood-setting shots.

The new models offer a variety of creative lighting effects: 13 pre-programmed options on the LUX 100 RGB and 10 on the LUX 60 Bi-Color enable impressive lighting scenarios for any situation. Both devices are also equipped with ultra-quiet active cooling, which prevents disturbing noises during audio recordings, thus ensuring perfect sound quality. Thanks to their high color fidelity with a CRI value of 97 and a TLCI value of 98, the lights provide authentic and vibrant colors for video recordings. The lights are controlled intuitively either via the separately available remote control or conveniently via the free smartphone app "Candela | LUX LED" for iOS and Android.

The new LUX lights are also fully compatible with existing accessories such as the LUX softbox, the battery grip, the remote control, and the carrying strap. This allows users to seamlessly integrate their existing equipment and expand their creative lighting solution further. Perfect for use both in the studio and for outdoor shoots.

To expand the application possibilities of the LUX series, Rollei introduces the new LUX Bowens adapter (39.99 Euros RRP), which was a popular customer request. It allows for the easy and quick attachment of light shapers with Bowens mount to all LUX continuous lights. In addition, the adapter offers high flexibility due to its adjustable tilt and is equipped with a tripod mount to enable effortless mounting on light stands.
