Rollei Launches "Lion Rock Gimbal Head M"

Medium version for slightly lighter equipment

Rollei is launching a gimbal head for medium-weight cameras and lenses with the "Lion Rock Gimbal Head M". The new head is more compact and lighter than its predecessor and can carry equipment weighing up to ten kilograms. Anyone who has been toying with the idea of buying a gimbal head for a while can now rejoice, as Rollei is also offering an attractive set.

Hamburg/Norderstedt, 27.01.2021 The name Lion Rock has established a reputation in the world of photography that stands for stability, quality and durability. The new "Lion Rock Gimbal Head M", which Rollei has developed especially for nature photographers, sports photographers and astrophotographers, now follows suit.

The high-quality special head is the medium version of the identically named L-sized head – and is aimed at photographers and videographers who want to use slightly lighter equipment up to a total weight of around ten kilograms.

Thanks to the ingenious design of the gimbal head, camera movements are compensated at various points, so that the camera and lens essentially "float" in the air. This enables absolutely smooth and fluid camera movement while maintaining complete control over motion. Additionally, Rollei has integrated safety mechanisms for the tilt axis and quick-release plate to prevent the camera from slipping.

Creativity is fostered by the head's panorama function (including a leveling unit) and a video handle, which make precise scaling and panning effortless. This allows users to delve into various areas of photography.

The Lion Rock Gimbal Head M can be purchased individually – for instance, as an addition to existing tripods – however, Rollei has also devised another offer. Customers can also acquire a compact gimbal head tripod set, named: "Lion Rock Gimbal". This set comes with the new Lion Rock Gimbal Head M.

The attractively low total weight of less than three kilograms makes this set of tripod and gimbal head ideal for photo or video tours that may involve covering some distance.
