The first 85mm Viltrox lens for Nikon Z-mount

Rollei brings great news for all Nikon photographers: The manufacturer of photography accessories is now presenting a Viltrox full-frame lens for Nikon cameras with Z-mount. The Viltrox AF 85/1.8 Z-Mount is an absolute novelty on the market, enabling full autofocus support including eye-autofocus on all Nikon Z cameras.

Hamburg/Norderstedt, 20.01.2021 – The Viltrox AF 85/1.8 Z-Mount, newly added to the range of Viltrox lenses, is a lightweight prime lens compatible with Nikon's Z-series cameras. This full-frame innovation supports not only manual and autofocus, but also eye-detection autofocus, which automatically focuses on the eyes. And with its fast, quiet STM focus motor, it can also be used particularly well for video recordings, for example.

Due to its slightly longer focal length, it is ideal for portraits and details in street photography. The lens has a robust metal housing and consists of 7 lens groups with 10 elements. 

In addition to the lens itself, the scope of delivery always includes a lens hood, a lens cap and a transport bag, allowing you to safely store your lens even when travelling.

In addition to the Nikon Z-Mount, Rollei, in cooperation with Viltrox, is launching three APS-C lenses that will be available from Friday, January 22, 2021: The Viltrox AF 56 mm f/1.4 E for Sony (APS-C) as well as the AF 56 mm f/1.4 M-Mount for Canon (APS-C) and the AF 33 mm f/1.4 E for Sony (APS-C)

The new lenses are particularly suitable for portrait, street and people photography. The lenses can also be used excellently in videography, as they also feature an STM focus motor, ensuring fast and quiet autofocus settings.
