Sony, a company that has only invested in photography since 2006 – with the acquisition of Konica Minolta – has continuously expanded its market share. Alongside global market leader Canon, the Japanese electronics group has positioned itself in second place among leading camera manufacturers, leaving renowned brands like Nikon behind. Only thirteen years passed from the development of its first proprietary DSLR camera, the Sony α700 with A-mount in 2007, to the latest model introduced today.

HIGH-QUALITY CAMERA LENSES FOR THE SONY ENTHUSIAST AUDIENCE

Difficulties, which from a photographer's perspective could primarily be attributed to the limited number of interchangeable lenses available, have been eliminated. In addition to Sony, third-party providers offer photography-enthusiastic amateur and professional segments sufficient opportunities to upgrade their equipment with high-quality options. It should be noted that Sony's first system cameras were equipped with the so-called Minolta A-mount. The E-mount lens connection predominantly used today was only realized in 2010 with the Sony Alpha NEX-3. This camera is the successor to the so-called Sony Alpha 6000.

A NEW STAR IN THE CAMERA HEAVENS: THE SONY ALPHA 1

Viltrox Lens with Sony Alpha1

The Sony α1 is a high-quality brand product that combines high resolution with extremely high speed. This not only excels in image sharpness for handheld shots but also in intuitive and creative freedom for spontaneous shots. In this context, the camera with its 50 MP full-frame sensor takes center stage when it comes to working in the so-called workflow. This primarily serves in sports, wildlife, and landscape photography to achieve breathtaking image quality despite changing subject focus. In this context, the professional camera impresses with real-time eye autofocus, which transforms a moving image into a brilliant snapshot.

REAL-TIME TRACKING AND CUSTOMIZED EYE DETECTION

Especially in portrait photography, the new Sony α1 delivers ultra-sharp results on moving or stationary subjects. The main responsibility for this lies with the automatic autofocus tracking, which serves real-time eye detection. In addition to modern AI technology, a 5-axis image stabilization is at work here, enabling precise reproduction. The camera thus already impresses with its architecture, designed to get everything out of a high-quality lens. With a BIONZ-XRTM processor, the so-called Anti-Distortion-Shutter, the Sony lens, or an interchangeable lens from a third-party provider, can be pushed to its performance limit.

VILTROX LENSES FOR PORTRAIT & LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND MUCH MORE

Viltrox lens with Sony Alpha1

The range of interchangeable lenses for a Sony α1 is growing and growing. Viltrox as a third-party provider offers high-quality MF or AF lens systems for the E-mount. This includes, for example, the upcoming 24mm full-frame Sony lens (24mm f/1.8 AF). The wide-angle lens is therefore ideal for landscape photography. In contrast, the 85mm full-frame Sony lens, which is already on the market, with eye-autofocus function, offers everything that makes nature and portrait photography so interesting. Since both lenses are prime lenses, nothing stands in the way of a creatively excellent image with precise depth of field. What electronics can achieve here can only be surpassed by the fascination of photography itself. The photo artist has thus gained excellent equipment.
