THE LUMEN POCKET BI-COLOR TESTED BY PHOTOGRAPHER SEBASTIAN NAGEL
Photography has changed significantly. While in the past, a lot of equipment had to be taken to shoots, nowadays everything is becoming smaller, more compact, and lighter. And for good reason. Because where the equipment used to be extremely heavy, it was also cumbersome to transport. Meanwhile, not only have cameras become smaller, but also the lights, which with their powerful batteries suddenly offer great mobility and can thus be used in places that were previously only conceivable with great difficulty. A good example of this is our new Lumen Pocket Bi-Color v2.
We wanted to see how mobile this little light giant really is, so we asked photographer Sebastian Nagel to test it – and the following image, whose depth and mood we love, was created.
THE FINAL PHOTO

For his photo, Seb Nagel had the idea of creating a dark mood with rural vibes with model Sina, as he explains. "We found a cornfield near Kaiserslautern and then waited for the sunset. When it started to rain slightly, we continued our shoot in the car, where the picture was then taken. For the picture, I also used the Honeycomb Grid to avoid stray light and to direct the light exclusively onto Sina."

MOBILE PHOTOS WITH STUDIO LIGHT CHARACTER
Sebastian Nagel achieved the warmth in the image because our Lumen Pocket Bi-Color has not only 40 cold light LEDs but also 40 warm light LEDs – you can adjust the color temperature between 3000 and 6000 Kelvin and thus give your image a special and creative touch. And that in the smallest of spaces. This is an aspect that Sebastian Nagel also appreciates about the Lumen Pocket Bi-Color: "It's ideally suited for shoots in small and confined locations because it takes up no space and is therefore immediately ready for use anywhere. The power is enormous and the control via app is super easy."
All this with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 95+, and the brightness is, of course, continuously dimmable, allowing you to monitor your settings on a high-contrast OLED display.
CONTROLLING THE LUMEN POCKET WITH OUR SMARTPHONE APP
Our Lumen Pockets, which are also available in RGB, can either be set directly on the device or with our free Lumen App for smartphones. And this is one of the most important innovations of the new Pocket version, which was also urgently requested by our customers. With the old version, app control was not yet possible. This way, you can now easily control intensities, colors, and gradients with your phone without having to put down your camera.
