Viltrox EF-E5 Adapter with OLED Display

New adapter for Canon EF-/ EF-S lenses on Sony E-mount cameras

Anyone planning to switch system camera brands usually encounters the problem of different lens mounts. An adapter ring can provide a solution. The photo professionals at Rollei, in cooperation with Viltrox, are now launching such an adapter, thus expanding their adapter range. The new Viltrox EF-E5 adapter makes it possible to connect Canon EF-/ EF-S series lenses to Sony E-mount cameras.

Norderstedt, 07.07.2021. The new Viltrox EF-E5 camera lens adapter is compatible with Canon EF-/ EF-S lenses on mirrorless cameras with Sony E-mount. This allows photographers to continue using existing lenses when changing cameras or systems.

Weighing only 158 grams and made of aluminum, the adapter is very compact and fits comfortably in the hand. The manual setting of two focus modes on the adapter as well as the aperture is easily possible, making shooting more comfortable. In addition, focal length, aperture, adapter mode, and manual aperture mode can also be easily read from the OLED display.

Another advantage: The transmission speed. Thanks to the electronic metal contacts, the adapter offers significantly higher focusing speed and very good autofocus. In addition, an EXIF signal transmission function is available.

A USB interface allows for uploading possible firmware updates. The integrated tripod mount with a 1/4-inch connection can also be removed for an even more compact packing size.
