Convenient Smartphone Control & Useful Modes for Efficient Heating

Rollei presents efficient solutions for everyday use as part of its new "Rollei Energy" product series. The new smart thermostat leads the way. Available as a standalone product or in a starter set with the ZigBee® central unit for control, Rollei's new solution offers comfort and efficiency for heating your own home. This is complemented by the also new smart door and window sensor, which is compatible with the smart thermostat.

Norderstedt, 29.11.2022. With the new "Rollei Energy" product series, Rollei is evolving to meet current challenges. The new smart thermostats and accessories increase heating comfort and allow you to save up to 30 percent on heating costs compared to conventional heating thermostats.

The heart of the new product series is the Starter Set, consisting of a smart thermostat and a ZigBee® central unit, which acts as a central hub for up to 60 thermostats. Once linked to the home Wi-Fi network, it communicates with the thermostats via the ZigBee® wireless standard. Regardless of the location, both the thermostat and the central unit can be conveniently adjusted as desired via the free "Smart Life" smartphone app.

The thermostat itself impresses with many useful functions and modes that can be controlled via the app. These include, for example, the heating schedule mode. It allows you to automate the temperature in up to ten different plans. The Eco mode helps with efficient heating and quickly adjusts the temperature to a cost-saving minimum. Other useful modes such as energy-saving, vacation, comfort, automatic, and offset modes, and many more help to ensure comfortable or cost-saving temperatures even remotely. If control via the app is not desired, the thermostat can be manually controlled like a conventional thermostat via the manual mode.

The smart thermostat can be mounted on the common M30x1.5 heating valve and is also compatible with Danfoss RAVL, Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, Giacomini, Caleffi, and M28x1.5 heating valves thanks to the included adapters. Thanks to its simple yet modern design, both the smart thermostat and the ZigBee® central unit fit into any interior.

Also new is the smart door and window sensor. It can be attached to doors and windows and automatically detects when they are opened or closed. Here too, communication takes place via the ZigBee® central unit included in the Starter Set. It is compatible with the smart thermostat and, when an open door or window is detected, signals the smart thermostat via the central unit to close the heating valve, thus preventing unnecessary energy consumption. The compact sensors are easily mounted using the attached double-sided adhesive tape.
