Exciting Bundles for Long Exposure Photography Fans
To celebrate the 1st anniversary of its 'F:X Pro' rectangular filter series, Rollei is introducing three new filter sets precisely tailored to a variety of photographic needs. The range has also been expanded with new ND filters.
Hamburg/Norderstedt, 20/05/2020 – Exactly one year ago, Rollei launched a revised version of its successful filter product line, the F:X Pro (100 mm) rectangular filter series. Improvements included reflection-free performance, color fidelity, and scratch resistance. The filters, made from "Gorilla® Glass," also received an ultrafine coating that allows even high-end cameras with 150 MP to work flawlessly. Because the series has been particularly well received by customers, three new filter sets will be released for the 1st anniversary of 'F:X Pro': the Graduated Filter Set, the Exposure Set, and the Ultra Exposure Set. In addition, the company announces further ND filters in strengths 4, 16, 32, and 512.
F:X Pro Graduated Filter Set
The Graduated Filter Set contains all common graduated neutral density (GND) filters, which can be used to balance subjects with varying brightness gradients. Photographers choose the specific filter type based on, for example, how hard or soft the transition of a horizon line is, or whether only the center of the image should be darkened, as in sunrises or sunsets. The set includes Soft, Center, Medium, Hard, and Reverse filters – all with a strength of 8, with the exception of the Soft GND, which is included in strength 16. The reason for this is that the GND 8 is the most popular filter, which many customers already own.
Exposure Set
This set has a wide range of applications. For example, it can be used in wedding photography when the sun is strong and you want to work with a wide aperture. If a little more exposure time is needed, the filters can also be combined, allowing for classic long exposures over an extended period. This set includes ND filters in strengths 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64.
Ultra Exposure Set
As the name suggests, this set enables extended long exposures. It therefore contains particularly strong ND filters, which allow for such long exposures in architectural photography in broad daylight that, for example, people disappear from the photo. It also allows for particularly strong softening of flowing water or moving clouds. Strengths 512, 1000, 2000, 4000, and 32000 are included.
New ND Filters also available individually
The new ND filters in strengths 4, 16, 32, and 512 are also available individually. Customers can also assemble their filters using the 'Filter Configurator' on www.rollei.de and save money this way. The new 'F:X Pro' filters will be launched for €149.99 (RRP).
