Rollei Presents Two RGB Continuous Lights for the Popular Candela Series

Rollei, the expert in video and photo accessories, continues to set standards in the world of lighting technology and proudly expands its popular Candela series, introduced in September 2023, with the new RGB continuous lights: Candela 120 RGB and Candela 220 RGB. Compared to the previous bi-color options, the new models for the Candela series offer even greater flexibility and versatility for perfect illumination of your setup.

In addition to a variable color temperature that can be set between 2,700 and 6,500 Kelvin, the new RGB models impress with a selection of 360 RGB color nuances. The stepless brightness control of the 120-watt Candela 120 RGB and the 220-watt Candela 220 RGB can be variably adjusted between zero and 100 percent. 13 pre-programmed lighting effects, such as thunderstorm, fire or SOS signal, allow for a completely new setting for video recordings. Additionally, the ultra-quiet active cooling and high color fidelity with a CRI of 97 and a TLCI of 98 ensure an optimal recording situation – without disturbing noise and with authentic colors.

Both new models also feature a compact and lightweight design with a size of 24 x 12.8 x 21.9 centimeters and a weight of just 1.6 kilograms. Perfect for applications where the continuous light needs to be transported. Nevertheless, the versatile Bowens mount for using a variety of light modifiers has been integrated.

Additional flexibility is provided by the option for dual power supply via corresponding V-mount batteries and V-mount battery adapters (sold separately), which can be attached to the Candela accessory rail. Ease of use was also a priority: Both the Candela 120 RGB and the larger 220 model can be controlled not only on the device itself but also via the optionally available Candela remote control or the free smartphone app. Furthermore, pairing and easy simultaneous control of multiple Candela lights via the app is possible and greatly simplifies setup.
