Communication via ZigBee® and control via free "Smart Life" app

Communication with the smart thermostat takes place via the ZigBee® gateway (included in the "Rollei Smart Thermostat Starter Set"), which acts as a central hub for the smart thermostats and other devices. The gateway easily connects to your home WLAN network and then communicates with the thermostat and other devices via the modern ZigBee® radio standard. The gateway and thermostat can be conveniently controlled via the free "Smart Life" app on your smartphone or tablet – no matter where you are. This is particularly practical if you forget to turn off the heating before leaving and can then easily control it from on the go.

Smart thermostat with useful functions

In the app, you can set many different functions and modes for the thermostat. This includes, for example, the heating schedule mode, with which you can select the temperature for each time of day with up to ten different heating schedules for individual days, weekdays, or weekends.

With the automatic mode, you can quickly set a previously selected temperature.

With the Eco and Comfort modes, the thermostats can be lowered to a low, cost-saving temperature or raised to a pleasant feel-good temperature.

The holiday mode allows you to set a desired temperature to be selected during your absence so that your home does not cool down, but you still save heating costs.

With the offset mode, temperature deviations within the room can be compensated.

The boost mode opens the heating valve for five minutes to achieve the fastest possible room heating, whereas the energy-saving mode completely closes the heating valve to save heating costs.

In window open mode, the thermostat detects if there is a temperature drop of at least five degrees Celsius within five minutes in the room and then adjusts the temperature according to the preset temperature setting.

The frost protection mode prevents unwanted frost in the heating pipes and sets the temperature to at least eight degrees Celsius, while the limescale protection mode regularly opens the heating valve for a short period, thus preventing unwanted limescale build-up in the heating system. And if control via the app is not desired, the thermostat can be controlled manually via the manual mode like a conventional thermostat.

The child lock mode prevents unintended adjustment of the thermostat.

Suitable for all common heating types

The smart thermostat itself fits the common heating type M30x1.5. However, thanks to the included adapters, the thermostat can also be easily installed for heating types Danfoss RAVL, Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, Giacomini, Caleffi and M28x1.5.

Thanks to its simple and simultaneously modern design, the thermostat fits into any household and transforms your heating into an optical highlight. And even for large households with many radiators, it is catered for, because within a household, up to 60 thermostats can be connected to one central unit.
