GND8 Graduated rectangular filter Sky and Water

The Rollei F:X Pro Soft GND filters are graduated neutral density filters with a soft gradient. GND stands for Graduated Neutral Density. With the help of this filter, you can easily compensate for differences in brightness in your image.

You can use our F:X Pro Sky and Water GND8 for these motifs:

GND filters – unlike normal ND filters – are used for subjects where the brightness conditions have a gradient and therefore require a transition for an evenly exposed image. This applies, for example, to subjects with a bright sky but dark ground. Or even with bright water in the lower part of the image and a darker upper part of the image. The F:X Pro Sky and Water GND8 combines exactly these two scenarios. With it, you are perfectly equipped for subjects where, for example, a bright sky in the upper part of the image and, for example, brighter water in the lower part of the image need to be balanced so that the two image areas as well as the center of the image can be harmoniously exposed – a Sky and Water filter, in short.

Our F:X Pro Sky and Water GND8 has a size of 100 x 150 mm (100-millimeter rectangular filter system) and a density of 0.9 and 3 stops in the upper and lower areas. A stop means that the amount of light falling on the sensor is reduced by one f-stop.

We have equipped our GND rectangular filters with our specially developed F:X Pro Coating, which ensures that your images are always pin-sharp, even with extremely high-resolution cameras with 150 megapixels. The reflection-free property of our F:X Pro filters is also 99.5 percent. With these filters, you get exemplary color fidelity – and reproduce your subject true to nature.

To be able to offer you products that you will enjoy for a long time, our filters are made of premium filter glass. Thanks to a special manufacturing process, it is legendary for its resistance and at the same time guarantees extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass its final hardness against mechanical influences and ensures that dirt from grease, water or mud can also be removed quickly and effortlessly.

But our filters are not only scratch-resistant – they are also temperature-resistant. We have tested this under the highest quality standards in scorching heat and also biting cold. In short: they are the best filters we have ever built.
