As a photographer, videographer, or content creator with your own studio equipment, you will eventually reach a point where a background is indispensable. And for exactly this reason, we now offer two reversible backgrounds that have a size of 1.5 x 2 meters and can be folded to a diameter of 70 cm.

Foldable background - Blue & Greenscreen

We are now bringing Hollywood to your home. With our new foldable bluescreen / greenscreen measuring 1.5 x 2 meters.
Green and bluescreens are primarily used to better cut people out of the background in digital post-processing of videos and insert them in front of a new background. This is used, for example, in Hollywood films when an actor is supposed to ride a dragon in the final film – although he originally sits on a wooden frame.

Explanation of the function of blue & greenscreen:

To understand how these backgrounds work technically, one must realize that human skin has no green or blue component, but rather the skin color is located quasi opposite on the other side of the color scale. For this reason, human skin can (theoretically) be cut out very well from a green or blue background.

Whether one chooses one color or the other depends on the lighting in the studio, but also very much on the background that you want to insert later. The question here is whether the later background is located more in the light or dark color spectrum.

The greenscreen is very easy to light, as the neon color itself is already very bright. But for this reason, it always reflects some color onto the person or object placed in front of it. This can make post-processing for a later dark background difficult, as the edges (such as hair) are hard to edit. One would therefore use the greenscreen more for backgrounds that should also be light later, so that the color difference is not so strong.

The bluescreen, on the other hand, is generally a bit harder to light, as it is a darker color – it therefore requires more light than the greenscreen. However, it can be used well if you want a dark background later.

At this point, you therefore have to consider how your later film should look, so that you can make post-processing as easy as possible beforehand. And for this reason, green and bluescreen are both integrated here. The choice is yours.

Care instructions: If you want to further smooth the background, please carefully use a steam iron, or alternatively spray a little water on the fabric and then blow dry it.
