Neutral density filter for 100mm rectangular filter system
Among other things, we have refined our ND (Neutral Density) filters in our F:X Pro filter series. The purpose of ND filters is to reduce the light entering your camera sensor. We have equipped the filters, which are available in the size 100 x 100 millimeters (100 mm filter holder system), with our F:X Pro Coating, so that their reflection-free property is 99.5 percent. This guarantees you razor-sharp images – even with "high-end" cameras with 150 MP. The color fidelity is exemplary, which means that you can capture your surroundings exactly as you saw them.

ND filters are needed for this:
- Display of motion through longer exposure times
- Removal of moving objects from the image
- Highlighting the subject by blurring the background
- Increasing the aperture - reducing the depth of field
Our ND filters are available in various intensities and stops. A stop means that the amount of light hitting the sensor is reduced by one f-stop. Depending on which filter you use and how many stops it has, you will have to extend your shutter speed by the same number of stops. This allows you to capture magically drawn images with longer exposure times even in sunshine. You can, for example, blur moving elements of your image composition, which, when taking a picture of a river, makes the water look silky – but larger stones in the river are sharply defined because they do not move. Do you want to photograph a tourist attraction like the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, but preferably without people in the picture? This is also no problem with an ND filter. Due to the long exposure, only the immobile architecture remains in the picture. However, plan enough time for your long exposure, because depending on the setting, it can take several minutes to an hour.

Our ND filters are available in these strengths:
- ND8 (3 stops / 0.9)
- ND32 (5 stops / 1.5)
- ND64 (6 stops / 1.8)
- ND1000 (10 stops / 3)
Depending on how much light should hit the sensor, you can, of course, also combine our filters. And so that there is really no light reflection on your work that doesn't belong there, our rectangular filters also have a foam seal that prevents light from entering between the filter and the lens.

Exemplary color fidelity with extremely fine coating
We have equipped our ND rectangular filters with our proprietary F:X Pro Coating, which ensures that your images are always razor-sharp, even with extremely high-resolution cameras with 150 megapixels. The reflection-free property of our F:X Pro filters is also 99.5 percent. With these filters, you get exemplary color fidelity – and depict your subject true to life.
To be able to offer you products that you will enjoy for a long time, our filters are made of premium filter glass. Through a special manufacturing process, it is legendarily resistant and at the same time guarantees extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass its final hardness against mechanical influences and ensures that dirt from grease, water, or mud can also be removed quickly and effortlessly.
But our filters are not only scratch-resistant – they are also temperature-resistant. We have tested this under the highest quality standards in scorching heat and biting cold. In short: they are the best filters we have ever built.
