Replacement Flash Tube for Rollei Studio Flashes
The modular and particularly maintenance-friendly design of the new Rollei Studio Flash HS Freeze allows for quick component replacement even outside protected studio settings. Its independence from stationary power sources and the high-performance battery, which can be replaced in just a few steps, ensure that professional photographers can now choose their locations much more flexibly according to their personal preferences.
However, the corresponding conditions at outdoor sets can also be challenging. To be able to continue the photo project even if individual elements are damaged, important parts such as the flash tube are of course also available separately as a spare part or for stock. The high-performance flash tube was specially developed for the HS Freeze and only fits this flash innovation.
Our tip: Get several replacement flash tubes so you are prepared for all eventualities at your next outdoor or studio set.
Instructions for Changing the Flash Tube
Always switch off the flash before changing the flash tube and disconnect the device from the power supply or remove the battery. Wait until the protective dome and the flash tube are cold. The flash tube may only be replaced when the device (flash capacitors) is discharged!
Important: Under no circumstances touch the exposed electrodes of the flash tube, as the flash capacitors may still be charged in the event of a fault, even if the flash unit is switched off and disconnected from the mains or the battery has been removed, and touching them can be life-threatening!
Always use clean and dry cotton or rubber gloves for the change. Carefully pull off the protective dome. Unwind the twisted igniter wire from the flash tube holder and carefully pull the bulb out of the device. To insert a new flash tube, support the legs of the replacement tube without touching the metal contacts and carefully push it into the end position. Then re-wrap the igniter wire around the flash tube holder and replace the protective dome.
Alternatively, the flash tube can also be replaced for a fee by our flash repair service.
