Short Centre Column for Rollei C5i Tripods
Long centre columns on tripods are often responsible for a rather large packing size, which is generally undesirable, especially for travel tripods. In addition, long centre columns cause camera shake when fully extended. Most photographers who use tripods therefore know: For good stability (e.g. for long exposures), the centre column should be extended by a maximum of one hand's width above the tripod shoulder.
To meet these two important requirements, we offer particularly short centre columns for our C5i Carbon and C5i Aluminium tripods. This allows you to get particularly close to your subject when you want to photograph at ground level and also minimises vibrations that can ruin your image during long exposures.
