Retractable Greenscreen (Chroma Key Panel)

At Rollei, we're bringing Hollywood straight to your home. And we're doing it with our greenscreen, measuring 145 x 190 cm with a packed size of 157 x 21 x 11.5 cm. (Total assembled screen: 198 x 157 x 20 cm)

Greenscreens are primarily used in digital video post-production to better cut people out from the background and insert them into a new one. This technique is used, for example, in Hollywood films when an actor is supposed to ride a dragon in the final film – even though they were originally sitting on a wooden frame. Greenscreens are also frequently used by news anchors.

To understand how these backgrounds work technically, one must bear in mind that human skin has no green component; rather, skin color is located almost opposite on the color scale. For this reason, human skin can be cut out very well (theoretically) from a green background.

The greenscreen is also very easy to illuminate, as the neon color itself is already very bright. So you can use the greenscreen excellently for backgrounds that are supposed to be bright later, so that the color difference is not so strong and you don't have too much post-processing.

Our Chroma Key Panel is conveniently concealed in a long, compact metal casing – until you need the screen. Then you can easily take it out of its housing and pull it out. It can stand freely, as there is a rod attached to the back of the greenscreen that holds it without needing additional fastening.

Finished with your production? Then simply let the screen disappear back into its case.
