DashCam 402 - Accident Camera

If you want to protect yourself against unjustified claims from the opposing party in an accident with a DashCam, you must keep two legal requirements in mind: on the one hand, courts recognize DashCam recordings as evidence in individual cases, and on the other hand, the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) has ruled that continuous recording of the traffic area is not permitted.

With the Rollei DashCam-402, you now have the ability to meet both requirements

You can choose between 2 recording modes: either you switch your new windshield camera to loop mode, which is permitted in many countries, or you activate the BGH-compliant emergency recording, which only saves the last few minutes when a shock occurs. The precise G-sensor ensures automatic saving of the accident recording, and the fixed-focus wide-angle lens captures all relevant events in Full-HD and brilliant image quality within the focus range from 20 cm to infinity.

GPS sensor and manual emergency button

Regardless of the recording mode, in a critical situation, you can immediately start saving by briefly pressing the emergency button, and the integrated GPS receiver continuously records the exact location coordinates. A speaker and a microphone are also located directly in the robust housing to supplement the video recordings with valuable audio information. You can also use the microphone to record important information in the event of an accident and have it directly available for any court proceedings. The Rollei Dashcam 402 starts video recording automatically immediately after switching on, and the loop mode ensures that recording is not abruptly ended by exceeding the memory card's capacity. You can use microSDHC cards from 16 to 32 GB that comply with the Class 10 standard.

24-hour parking surveillance in standby mode

The new Rollei DashCam-402 Safetycam not only protects your vehicle on the road – with 24-hour parking surveillance, you can finally reliably identify hit-and-run parking incidents. The internal lithium-ion battery does not burden your car battery when the engine is off, but thanks to its capacity, it can maintain standby mode for up to 24 hours. Your DashCam is in a power-saving sleep state; only when the G-sensor sends a signal due to a shock or movement does the dashboard camera immediately wake up and start recording for a few seconds. The Dashcam, equipped with a mini-USB port, includes a sturdy suction cup mount, a 12 V / 24 V vehicle adapter, and the operating manual.
